- Every note is public. Notes stay up for as long as NeverDies operates, unless they break the Rules or the law.
- Nobody can edit or delete a note once it's pinned, except in the narrow cases below.
- A note costs $1, once. The first 100 Founding Notes are free. You get a refund only if moderation rejects your note.
- You're paying to display your words, not buying property. Notes can't be sold or transferred, and they're not an investment.
By submitting a note you agree to these Terms, the Rules and the Privacy notice. You must be at least 16.
1. What you get
For a one-time payment of $1 you can place a short note (up to 140 characters, with an optional signature and link) on the public wall at neverdies.app. Once approved, it gets the next number and a fixed position on the spiral. There is no subscription.
It's a license, not property. You get the right to have your note displayed. You don't own the site, the position or the number. A note, its number and its position can't be sold, transferred, traded or inherited, and we will never run a marketplace for them. A note has no resale value, and we make no promise that it will ever gain any.
2. What "forever" means
- Your note stays on the wall for as long as NeverDies operates, unless it breaks the Rules or the law.
- We plan for that to be a very long time: the domain is on long-term renewal, the wall is backed up, and we will keep a free, public, read-only archive of all live notes that doesn't depend on us.
- If NeverDies ever stops operating, the archive is how your note lives on. There is no refund on shutdown.
- We can't guarantee against events outside our control, such as changes in the law or failures of the services we rely on.
- Think before you pin. Don't write anything you, or anyone you mention, might want removed later.
3. Moderation
Every note is reviewed before it appears, and anyone can report a live note. How it works is described in the Rules. We decide what appears on the wall. We don't have to publish any note, and we may reject or hide any note at our discretion, at any time, with or without notice. Hiding keeps the note's number as a blank tombstone.
4. No edits, no deletion, and the exceptions
Authors can't edit or delete notes, and we won't do it on request. That is the product. We act only in these cases:

"Remove" means we delete the content from our systems except where the law requires us to keep it. The number stays a tombstone either way. Send requests to legal@neverdies.app with the note number.
5. Copyright notices
Send copyright (DMCA) notices to legal@neverdies.app. Include:
- your contact details;
- the work you believe is infringed;
- the note number, for example "No. 342";
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act;
- your physical or electronic signature.
Counter-notices go to the same address. We hide notes from repeat infringers and may refuse their future notes.
6. Payments and refunds
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- A paid note rejected by moderation is refunded automatically, to the original payment method.
- There is no refund once a note is live. That includes notes later hidden for breaking the Rules or the law, and changes of heart.
- If checkout is cancelled or abandoned, you aren't charged and the note is discarded.
- Right of withdrawal (EU/UK): your note is pinned as soon as it's approved. By paying, you ask us to start right away and accept that you lose your 14-day right to withdraw once the note is live.
7. Chargebacks
If you dispute a payment for a note that went live as described, we will contest it with evidence: the note, its number and when it went live. We may hide the note while the dispute is open. If the dispute is lost, the note stays hidden. We refuse future notes from people who make repeated or fraudulent disputes.
8. Your content
- You keep the rights to what you write.
- You give NeverDies a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable license to display, store, copy and share your note, signature and link, on the wall, in the public archive, and to promote NeverDies (for example screenshots, "Note of the Day" posts and printed posters).
- You confirm you have the right to post what you write and that it doesn't break the Rules or the law. You're responsible for your note, and you agree to cover our costs if a claim against us arises from a note you broke the Rules or the law with.
- A link belongs to its author. We don't endorse linked sites.
9. The rest
- NeverDies is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for your note. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
- We may update these Terms. Changes never make live notes editable or deletable by their authors. We'll show material changes on the site, and each version is dated at the top.
- If one part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
